Chicago's Latino Fashion Week (November 1-6) is only Latino Fashion Week in the United States and was created to support the talent of local, national and international Latino designers.
The event is the premier resource institution for those in the Latino Fashion Industry. Latino Fashion Week expands commerce by enhancing and creating opportunities while elevating and supporting the artistic strengths of the rapidly growing Latino market. This six-day event include educational seminars, retail trunk shows, celebrity appearances and VIP parties at the Zhou B. Art Center.

Inspired by starlets like Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly and the 1940s and 1950s film noir, Alicia's pieces capture the silver screen era, where women's gracefulness, glamour and ultimately classy style flourished. Stop Staring! dresses are timeless and classic, with a touch of sex appeal. Her pieces have attracted the eyes of Hollywood's A-list celebrities like Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian and Zooey Deschannel. Carl Dahlsted, a Chicago-based designer and Columbia Alum, opened his first boutique this year. The showroom, located in the heart of Wicker Park, sells men's and women's all of which are designed and manufactured in Chicago. C. Dahlstedt's aesthetic is based on simplistic designs, with a strong focus on quality. The collection achieves is a modern twist on timeless silhouettes, using unexpected details such as linings in cashmere and over-sized zippers, and a new take on the classic men's button-downs. Karol Barrero
Born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, Karol Andrea grew an interest in fashion and the arts at an early age. After learning to sew from her mother, she began testing her own techniques and drew inspiration from the flare of South America and the many cultures of its people. In 2000, she moved to the United States with her family and enrolled in Colombia College where she later received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with an emphasis in Fashion Design. Her current designs reflect her passion for detail while boldly combining modest traditional styles with contemporary chic.
Jorge Pérez de la Habana
Celebrated international designer, Jorge Pérez at Jorge Pérez de la Habana for celebrity Red Carpet and Wedding Gowns, was born in Havana, Cuba and raised in New York City. Pérez has appeared on BRAVO's "The Real Housewives of NYC", WE-TV's "My Fair Wedding". "Get Married," and was featured on TLC's "Say Yes to the Dress", the PBS Show "The Holiday Table", and the "Martha Stewart Show" on Sirius Radio. He is currently a regular monthly guest on SHOP NBC.
