Augustana Band at Buick Regal Remix Event

Augustana performed live in downtown's River East Art Center near Navy Pier from 7-10pm with culinary bites and complimentary cocktails.

Augustana is an American rock band from San Diego, California who are signed to the Epic Records record label and are best known for their singles, "Boston" and "Sweet and Low."

Augustana scored a massive radio-friendly hit with the song Boston from their major label debut All the Stars and Boulevards and seemed destined for top-40 stardom by repeating that same piano-ballad formula with front-man Dan Layus emoting over the keys. The new album, Can’t Love, Can’t Hurt, released April 29th, indeed has a more down-home feel to it and the show reflected that with some of the more mainstream rock tunes from the previous album, like “Hotel Roosevelt” and “Bullets” failing to even make an appearance.

The event was hosted by Buick Regal. This blog intends to share the event I attended with viewers, not for commercial purpose.

It does not look like an American car. It's European designed and tested on the Autobahn. Suped-up with all the must-have high-tech amenities like Bluetooth, USB port/iPod jack, a 9-speaker 320-watt Harman Kardon sound system, and my person favorites: a voice-activated 40GB navigation system with GPS and pause/play radio with 10GB of space for music storage. How many times have you been cruising and singing at the top of your lungs to your new favorite song only to spend the remainder of the trip searching for it on another radio station? I love this feature - it's Tivo for your car!

I attended the event with Jovie from CPRTV and Via Times Newspaper.

Jovie loves to be in the passenger seat (for now..ha..ha). I find the car pretty comfortable and classy. The interior alone wipes away memories of pulsh velvet seats and replaces them with the new luxury of a sleek and more sporty car.

There is no such a thing as too many drinks
