The event featured signature juried live and silent art auction, including a piece by critically acclaimed artist Tony Fitzpatrick specially created for One Inspired Evening! The original and prints was out for sale at the event. Auctioneer Vinnie Zaffarano was there to amp up the excitement.

The event offered Priceless Package auction, exciting Wine & Dine restaurant packages, a fabulous cocktail buffet by Food For Thought, a full bar and wines compliments of the Italian Village Restaurants, Goose Island Beer and Wow Bao. Live music by the Sam Sinclair Trio. And also live painting was done on-site by artist Pete Nawara.

I donated my artwork "Chicasso" for auction, and won the 3rd prize. The benefit goes to the Inspiration Corporation to feed homeless people at the Greater Chicago Food Depository.

Chicasso
Downtown Chicago is full of architectural wonder and beauty. The beauty of the collection comes from Amie’s decision to take straight shot images as well as photographing reflections of buildings to capture the multifaceted beauty of Downtown Chicago architecture. Through the use of computer graphics, pictures of this beautiful city have been turned into a Cubist wonderland, full of abstract shapes and meaning while still remaining true to Chicago’s spirit. Abstract images created out of the distortion of the original images gives an extra layer of meaning and beauty to each photograph. The similarity to Picasso’s Cubist style has earned the collection’s name “Chicasso,” for each photograph is meant to allow a short sojourn into the realm of illusion while still remaining anchored in reality.
